ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 12: The Punjab administration announced a new policy on Saturday: two weekly vacations will be observed by schools throughout the province.
The Department of School Education Punjab announced that as of August 15, all Punjabi schools will observe holidays on both Saturdays and Sundays.
The goal of the new policy is to reduce teacher workloads and establish a more balanced work schedule. The announcement states that single-shift schools would be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Double Shift/Afternoon Schools:
- Monday to Thursday:
- Morning Shift: 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM
- Friday:
- Morning Shift: 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
