Islamabad, Sep 13: Punjab’s New Double-Decker Tourism Buses Coming Soon. World Tourism Day is September 27, and the Punjab Tourism Department is preparing to celebrate by introducing brand-new, contemporary buses.
These completely air-conditioned double-decker buses were originally supposed to launch on August 14, but the department’s hold-up forced a delay.
The Punjab double-decker tourism buses that the World Bank sent to increase tourism have not yet reached the terminal. Originally scheduled to go into effect on August 14, they will now be unveiled on the rescheduled date.
In addition, the Punjab government has been working on a glass train project that will connect Bhurban in Murree with Rawalpindi.
A working group led by Punjab’s transport minister and including important officials including the deputy commissioners for Rawalpindi and Murree, consists of eighteen departments.
The rail line, which spans 65 kilometers and originates in Saddar, Rawalpindi, will go through picturesque regions such as Margalla Hills and Barakahu before arriving at Bhurban.
This project is included in the Murree Development Plan, and in order to assess its timeliness and costs, NESCOM is carrying out a feasibility assessment.
In order to ensure that the project is finished effectively and at the lowest possible cost, the group is also tasked with addressing obstacles including acquiring property for the train tracks and stops.
