Islamabad, Dec 11: The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) is all set to host the Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games 2024 from December 13 to December 19 at the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad. This week-long event will bring together athletes from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Islamabad.

Designed to foster unity and engage the nation’s youth, the Games will feature 15 sports, including athletics, badminton, boxing, football, hockey, judo, kabaddi, karate, squash, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, weightlifting, and wrestling.

Both male and female athletes will compete in individual and team events, with highlights like the 100-meter sprint, hurdles, and electrifying football and hockey matches.

To honor excellence, PSB has announced cash prizes totaling PKR 20 million. Gold medalists will receive PKR 20,000, while silver and bronze medalists will earn PKR 15,000 and PKR 10,000, respectively. Team event participants will also be rewarded, with trophy and medal distribution worth an additional PKR 4 million.

Strict eligibility criteria will allow athletes under 22 to participate, and any violations, such as doping or misconduct, will lead to disqualification. Competitions will follow international standards with localized adjustments under technical experts’ supervision.

Spectators are invited to witness the action live, with free entry passes available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Pakistan Sports Complex. This initiative aims to create an inclusive and engaging environment for athletes and fans alike.

As the countdown begins, the Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games 2024 promises to reignite Pakistan’s love for sports and serve as a launching pad for emerging talent.
