Islamabad, Aug 30: Due to the ongoing rain on Friday, the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium has been postponed.

The planned toss and play have been impeded by persistent showers in Rawalpindi and Islamabad since early in the morning, leaving the outfield flooded and unsuitable for cricket play.

The weather forecast indicates that there will be sporadic rain throughout the morning and maybe into the afternoon, which will make it more difficult to start the match on time. When the weather permits, a roller will be used to prepare the pitch, which has been covered by ground crew to shield it from the rain.
Pakistan is under pressure to win this Test as they lost the series opener at this same site last week by a significant margin of 10 wickets.

The squad has altered its lineup considerably, most notably by benching pacer Shaheen Afridi. Pakistan has replaced him with spinner Abrar Ahmed and Mir Hamza, indicating a change in strategy as they look to even the series.

As both sides wait for a clean opportunity to begin what seems to be a crucial matchup in the series, the delay heightens the anxiety around the game.
