Islamabad, Apr 16, 2025: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted scattered showers and thunderstorms in multiple regions across the country, particularly targeting Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad.
As per the latest update, light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, is likely to begin from Wednesday evening and continue through Sunday, April 20, in several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The expected weather activity will affect the northern, central, and southern areas of the province, with chances of heavy downpours in a few localities.
In response to the forecast, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a cautionary advisory to all district-level authorities.
Authorities have directed emergency response teams to stay alert and make necessary preparations to address any disruptions.
Officials have instructed infrastructure and transportation departments to clear blocked routes and ensure traffic flows through alternate roads if needed.
For public safety, officials strongly encourage tourists planning trips to hilly areas to check weather conditions and road access by calling the PDMA helpline before traveling.
