Islamabad, Mar 2, 2025: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has introduced the 8070 Ramzan Relief Package 2025, a financial assistance program worth Rs20 billion, designed to support economically disadvantaged families ahead of the holy month of Ramzan.

Key Features of the Relief Program

Through this initiative, 4 million eligible households will receive a direct cash grant of Rs10,000 along with significant discounts on essential food supplies. This year, the government has opted for a digital distribution method, eliminating the need for beneficiaries to stand in long queues at Utility Stores.

Two-Part Assistance Plan

The 8070 Ramzan Relief Package is structured into two main components:

1. Direct Financial Aid:

Eligible households will receive a cash transfer of Rs10,000 to help manage expenses during the sacred month.

Subsidized prices will be offered on key food staples such as flour, sugar, pulses, ghee, and rice, helping families afford daily essentials.

Eligibility Criteria for the Relief Package

To qualify for assistance under this scheme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
  • Be enrolled in the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) or the Ehsaas Programme.
  • Must not be benefiting from any other ongoing government financial aid program.

How to Apply for the 8070 Ramzan Relief Package

Eligible individuals can register through the official PSER online portal by entering their CNIC and mobile number, followed by completing the application form.

Alternatively, applicants can check their eligibility by sending their CNIC number via SMS to 8070, after which they will receive further instructions.

Disbursement Methods for Financial Assistance

To ensure seamless distribution of funds, the government has established multiple payment channels:

Payment Mode Details
Bank Transfers Funds will be deposited into accounts at HBL, UBL, and Bank Alfalah.
Mobile Wallets Beneficiaries can receive funds through Easypaisa and JazzCash.
Ehsaas Centers Those without bank accounts can collect funds from designated Ehsaas Centers.
Union Council Offices Eligible individuals can verify their details and receive payments from local government offices.

The government has urged citizens to complete their registration promptly to avoid last-minute delays. As the deadline approaches, authorities emphasize the importance of timely enrollment to ensure smooth distribution of financial aid.
