Islamabad, Dec 17: In a bid to enhance transparency and prevent malpractice in the upcoming 2025 Matriculation and Intermediate examinations, the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) is installing CCTV security cameras in all examination centers across the region.
CCTV Installation: As part of the initiative, CCTV cameras will be installed in all examination centers, including those in government schools and colleges. Board Chairman Adnan Khan has instructed officials to submit details of existing CCTV installations and ensure full surveillance coverage in all examination halls.
Private Schools Excluded: Starting next year, private schools will no longer serve as examination centers, ensuring that all exams are held in more secure and monitored environments.
Paper Marking Improvements: In addition to surveillance, the board is focusing on improving the paper marking process, which will apply to annual, supplementary, and practical examinations.
Transparency Measures: Under the new system, examination papers will be opened and distributed in the presence of students, with cameras monitoring the process to ensure fairness and integrity throughout the examination procedure.
Strict Surveillance: The Board is working closely with district education authorities, directors of colleges, and deputy directors to gather information on installed cameras and identify areas lacking sufficient surveillance. With these measures, the Rawalpindi BISE aims to maintain a high level of integrity and transparency, ensuring a fair environment for all students taking the 2025 exams.
