Islamabad, Dec 15: In response to the prevailing law and order concerns, the Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi has announced the closure of all public and private schools and colleges in the district for Monday. The decision was made following a law and order meeting held on Sunday to assess the security situation.

An official notification from the district administration confirmed the closure, stressing that both public and private educational institutions are to remain closed on Monday, with no exceptions. The move aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff amid ongoing security concerns.

In addition to the closure of schools, the notification also addressed the rescheduling of the SBA (School-Based Assessment) examination originally set for Monday. The examination has been postponed and will now take place the following day. The Rawalpindi District Education Office has issued an official circular to inform schools and other educational institutions of the revised schedule.

The closure affects thousands of students across the district, with parents and school authorities advised to stay updated on further announcements. The district administration’s decision reflects a cautious approach to maintaining public safety during uncertain times. The authorities have urged citizens to remain vigilant and follow all guidelines issued by local law enforcement.

As Rawalpindi remains on high alert, the community is expected to cooperate with the local government and security forces to ensure a peaceful and secure environment. The closure of schools is a temporary measure, with educational activities expected to resume once the security situation stabilizes.
