Islamabad, Oct 8: RDA Launches New Property Transfer System

On Monday, Kinza Murtaza, the Director General (DG) of the Rawalpindi Development Authority, launched a new property transfer system aimed at facilitating citizens.

During a meeting she chaired, the DG announced that residents can now complete online property transfers for Rawalpindi Improvement Trust (RIT) schemes. She noted that both the property transfer application and challan would be available online.

The DG explained that, following the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, reforms are being implemented within the RDA, which includes phasing out the old manual file system.

She highlighted that these IT-based reforms would not only assist citizens but also help the department eliminate corruption and the agent mafia.

Murtaza added that the new system aims to address challenges related to land use approvals and property transfers in Rawalpindi city.

The meeting was attended by Director Architecture Shuja Ali, Director Estate Management Shahzad Gondal, Deputy Director IT of RDA, other RDA officials, and representatives from the Punjab Urban Land System Enhancement Program (PLUS).

Furthermore, the RDA has emphasized that the new property transfer system incorporates advanced security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure the integrity of property transactions. By implementing such features, the authority aims to instill greater confidence among users, reassuring them that their information is safe and transactions are secure.
