Each rising between 30 and 42 meters high. Known locally as “Man-Popo-Nyur”, or the “Little Mountain of the Gods”, these ancient monoliths were recently recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of Russia.
Steeped in legend, these rock pillars are tied to an ancient Mansi folklore. According to the tale, a powerful sorcerer cast a spell on seven giants attempting to cross the Ural Mountains, turning them into stone.
