Islamabad, Mar 3, 2025: Samsung has officially introduced its latest A-series smartphones, including the Galaxy A26, A36, and the premium Galaxy A56.
The Galaxy A56 brings significant upgrades, such as enhanced charging capabilities, extended software support, and an expansive display.
Design and Display
The Galaxy A56 features a redesigned rear camera module, a sleek 7.4mm profile, and a sturdy aluminum frame.
It retains the optical in-display fingerprint scanner for seamless security.
The display is a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 1900 nits.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Galaxy A56 houses the powerful Exynos 1580 chipset, marking its first appearance in a smartphone since its unveiling.
This processor boasts a 2.9GHz octa-core CPU and an AMD-based GPU with two workgroup processors.
The neural engine delivers an impressive 14.7 trillion operations per second (TOPS), resulting in a 37% performance boost over its predecessor.
Contrary to early reports of 12GB RAM, the final model includes 8GB of memory with storage options of 128GB and 256GB.

Samsung promises six years of security updates and six major OS upgrades.
The device launches with Android 15, layered with One UI 7.0, introducing enhanced visuals, customization features, and the innovative “Circle to Search” function.
Camera Capabilities
The Galaxy A56 retains its predecessor’s camera hardware, featuring a 50MP primary sensor (f/1.8), a 12MP ultra-wide lens (f/2.2), and a 5MP macro shooter (f/2.4).
The front-facing camera remains a 12MP sensor (f/2.2). Despite unchanged hardware, Samsung enhances image processing through AI-driven algorithms, improving low-light photography, reducing noise, and optimizing burst shots.
The transition speed between primary and ultra-wide lenses has also doubled, reducing switching time to under 430 milliseconds.
Battery and Pricing
For the first time in the A-series, Samsung integrates 45W fast charging, a feature previously reserved for flagship models.
The 5,000mAh battery now charges from 0 to 100% in just 68 minutes, reaching 65% in only 30 minutes.
The Galaxy A56 is available in Graphite Gray, Light Gray, Olive, and Pink, with a starting price of $499.
