Islamabad, Dec 14: Samsung has released information regarding the platform’s development in response to Google’s launch of the Android XR operating system for extended reality (XR) devices. Samsung claims that it has been working with Google and Qualcomm to develop Android XR for many years, demonstrating its dedication to developing XR technology.

Moohan, which translates to “infinity” in Korean, is the codename for Samsung’s first Android XR-compatible headset. Samsung refers it Moohan as “your spatial canvas,” emphasizing how well it works for using Google Maps to explore the world, watching YouTube movies, or using the Gemini assistant to organize vacations.

Featuring cutting-edge technology including passthrough capability, natural multi-modal input, and state-of-the-art displays, this headset functions flawlessly with Android XR. Interestingly, Samsung did not mention Bixby, its former virtual assistant, which raises questions about its potential future function.

Samsung has also attested to the fact that the headset was made with the comfort of its users in mind, highlighting its ergonomic design and lightweight build to guarantee prolonged wear without pain. Its technical characteristics, including battery life, computing power, and display resolution, are yet unknown, nevertheless.

We expect additional information next year, even though Moohan’s current release simply provides a sneak peek at what will be accessible. According to rumors, Samsung is preparing for a more extensive unveiling that might demonstrate the headset’s complete capabilities and show off how Android XR may influence the development of extended reality devices in the future.
