Islamabad, Aug 20: Samsung is adding a new music identification feature to its Circle to Search feature, which was first available on its mid-range A series tablets. With this update, the Circle to Search tool now has Shazam-like features, greatly increasing user usability.
On Samsung devices that enable Circle to Search and have Google app version 15.32.37.28 installed, users may now enjoy the new music recognition capability. The Circle to Search feature is powered by this version of the Google application.
It is noteworthy to mention that Google, not Samsung, is in charge of overseeing the implementation of this function. Consequently, not every Samsung device that has Circle to Search enabled along with the required version of the Google app will be equipped with music recognition software by default. Availability may change based on Google’s distribution plan.
It’s possible that Google is regulating this implementation through server-side modifications, so the feature might not show up on all eligible Samsung devices at once.
After receiving the update, users can access the new feature through the Circle to Search interface. A new button featuring an icon of a music note will become visible after it is activated. Pressing this button starts the music recognition feature, which can recognize songs that are playing on the device or in the surrounding area. Additionally, it can recognize songs by listening to user input, such as humming or singing along.
Users are urged to be patient since this deployment is overseen by Google rather than Samsung, as it can take some time for the functionality to become available on all compatible Samsung devices that have Circle to Search installed.
