Islamabad, Aug 29: Samsung is eschewing the conventional nomenclature for its next foldable smartphone in favor of a more unique moniker. Renowned leaker Evan Blass claims that the smartphone will officially be called as the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, despite earlier rumors including names like Galaxy Z Fold Slim, Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim, Galaxy Z Fold Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. Blass is renowned for his trustworthy cyber disclosures.

Blass also discussed the size of the device’s screen. According to him, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will have an enormous 8-inch inner display and a 6.5-inch exterior screen. When the gadget is unfolded, its thickness is just 4.9mm, and when it is folded, it still has a slim 10.6mm profile.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is expected to be a strong competitor in the foldable smartphone market thanks to its exceptionally thin design. It is considerably more similar to the thin designs of competitors like as the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 (4.6mm/9.5mm) and the Honor Magic V3 (4.35mm/9.2mm), measuring just 4.9mm thick when unfolded and 10.6mm when folded. Samsung’s latest device may not quite equal the ultrathin dimensions of its rivals, but it still marks a major improvement in terms of thinness over earlier models, like as the Z Fold 6.

Limited availability may be a major obstacle for the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, despite its competitive design and intriguing features. According to a number of sources, Samsung’s more compact foldable smartphone might only be available in China and Korea, which is absurd given that Samsung’s foldable devices are all readily accessible worldwide. There are rumors that the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will have its premiere in September in Korea and then be released in China in October.
