Tokyo: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has postponed his upcoming visit to Japan, originally set to commence on Monday, due to health concerns regarding King Salman, stated Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi.

The visit, scheduled from May 20 to 23, was expected to include meetings between the de facto Saudi leader and Japanese Emperor Naruhito, as well as Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. According to Saudi Arabia’s state news agency, King Salman, aged 88, will undergo treatment for a lung inflammation.
