Karachi: The Country:s foreign exchange reserves had increased by $16 million every week to a total of $9.1 billion as of May 31.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced figures on Thursday that showed the nation’s total liquid foreign reserves were $14.2 billion. There were $5.1 billion in net foreign reserves held by commercial banks.

The rise in reserves was announced by the central bank without explanation. It stated, “SBP reserves increased by $16 million to $9,109.5 million during the week ended on May 31, 2024.” Pakistan’s central bank’s reserves dropped by $63 million last week.
