Islamabad, Aug 29: The Sindh government has declared that because of the continuous, intense rain, schools in a number of districts will be closed, according to ARY News.

Schools in Jamshoro will be closed for three days, from August 29 to August 31, while schools in Mirpurkhas will be closed on August 29 and 30. A school shutdown in the district was also announced by the Deputy Commissioner of Sujawal on Thursday because of the intense rainfall. Sanghar’s schools will also be closed on August 29 and 30.

As instructed by their respective Deputy Commissioners, all public and private educational institutions in Tando Allahyar and Matiari will be closed on Thursday.

The Deputy Commissioner has declared that all government and private schools in the Hyderabad district will be closed on August 29 due to the continuous monsoon rains.

Every educational institution in the district has been informed of this decision, which is intended to guarantee the protection of both staff and pupils. Heavy rains have already caused substantial disruption in Hyderabad, including a terrible event involving the death of a toddler due to a roof collapse. This safety measure has been adopted by the authorities to stop more mishaps and safeguard the neighborhood.

On Thursday, August 29, however, schools in Karachi will stay open since the Central District of the city has rescinded its notification of school closures. Commissioner Syed Hasan Naqvi of Karachi made this decision after consulting the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s most recent advisories.

Because of the expectation for severe rainfall, the Central District Deputy Commissioner had previously declared a general holiday for educational institutions. But the notification was rescinded after taking the updated advice into account, and classes will now resume as usual.

It is recommended that parents and students check with their individual schools regarding classes and times. In an effort to minimize disruptions to educational activities, the decision to lift the closure was reached, and on Thursday, schools are anticipated to operate as usual.
