Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb declared that the anti-smog campaign’s second phase had begun, on Tuesday. She said in a statement released here that the Smog-Free Punjab vision has required the stringent implementation of laws and regulations by Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif.She mentioned that the initial three-month phase was centered on delivering technology, equipment, facilities, and technical support to all sectors.

She warned that breaking environmental laws will result in fines, penalties, and arrests and that over the next three months, environmental protection laws and regulations will be strictly enforced in industry, agriculture, traffic, and other areas.
In addition, the top official reaffirmed the dedication to attaining a total prohibition on plastic, with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif personally supervising its execution. She also stated that burning crop leftovers, releasing hazardous chemicals into water bodies, and emitting poisonous odors from industries will all be met with strict consequences.
The senior minister underlined that Punjab’s smog problem requires a team effort to solve. Destructive smoke in the air can be removed, and fatal diseases can be eliminated, with the help of the general public, the media, and all societal groups. The senior minister concluded that the achievements made thus far, with the backing of the public, will continue and result in the achievement of this crucial aim.
