Islamabad Oct 22: Shaza Fatima, Technical Training Essential for Capacity Building of Telecom Operators. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication, stated on Tuesday that technical training is essential for telecom operators’ capacity growth.
The minister also discussed issues of mutual interest and pertaining to telecom operators’ capacity building at a meeting with Singapore Jia Rong, the CEO of APNIC (Asia Pacific Network Information Center). Zarrar Hasham Khan, the secretary of information technology, attended the conference as well.
The Minister of State for IT was briefed by the CEO of the Asia Pacific Network Information Center on how APNIC operates. According to him, APNIC wished to begin a networking training program for telecom companies. It was decided at the meeting to create a thorough plan for telecom operators’ training.
MoITT Muhammad Jahanzeb Rahim, a member of IT, was also present at the meeting. Saqlain Syedah, the ambassador of Pakistan to Germany, paid Shaza Fatima Khawaja a visit. During the discussion, topics like the facilitation of Pakistani IT companies in Germany and the relationship between Germany and Pakistan in the areas of IT and telecommunication were covered.
The meeting was also attended by DG IC Syed Jawwad Ali Sherazi and Member International Coordination (IC) Imad Memon.
