She was speaking at the “PAKSAT-MM1 Satellite Application Conference,” which was organized to commemorate the satellite’s operationalization.According to her, the accomplishment of PAKSAT-MM1 would transform communication infrastructure and have a profound positive impact on all facets of society.
She claimed that the satellite will contribute to the country’s remote areas receiving more internet connectivity, which is an essential step towards Pakistan being a digitally linked nation. She underlined that the nation’s doors to socioeconomic prosperity are being opened by digitization and technological advancement.
The minister also noted that Pakistan had moved up fourteen spots in the UN’s e-governance development rating. She referred to Pakistan as one of the two Asian nations that has advanced from the middle to the high tier of digital e-governance, calling this a noteworthy accomplishment.
Speaking at the event, Muhammad Yousuf Khan, Chairman of SUPARCO, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s commitment and work in ensuring PAKSAT-MM1 launched successfully. He declared that Pakistan’s successful launch of PAKSAT-MM1 is a major step toward the country’s digital goals.
He underlined how important satellites are to Pakistan’s socioeconomic advancement and how they help the country’s standing in the international space sector.According to the chairman, PAKSAT MM1 is well situated to service several underserved and unmonitored distant locations in Pakistan, where DTH, community internet, telemedicine, teleeducation, and asset tracking are just a few of the applications of communication satellites that are still lacking.
The chairman extended an invitation to the local business community to collaborate on creating eco systems for space-related endeavors, such as the design and development of satellite systems and their uses.The conference speakers emphasized how PAKSAT-MM1 is helping Pakistan achieve its goal of a “digital Pakistan” by facilitating increased connection, economic expansion, and digital inclusion throughout the nation.
