Islamabad, Nov 22: Shell Pakistan, recently acquired by Wafi Energy, celebrated aspiring entrepreneurs at the grand finale of the 11th Tameer Awards 2024. With over 400 applications received, 30 finalists competed across six categories, judged by a distinguished panel of business leaders, industry experts, and academics.

The winners showcased groundbreaking innovations:

  • Circular Economy: Mohammad Faraz Khokhar’s The Natural Fiber Company, converting banana stem waste into eco-friendly products.
  • Clean Energy Solutions: Zain Ali Siddiqui’s Green City, optimizing renewable energy through AI.
  • Empowering Women: Mahnoor Rizwan’s DiabEazy, an AI-powered diabetes management platform.
  • Technology Innovation: Sidra Shakeel’s Fortify, a SaaS-based ERP for real estate operations.
  • Transportation and Mobility: Fahd Ahmed Farid’s Naya Raasta, creating heat-reducing green roads.
  • Bright Ideas: Maryam Butt’s EcoFoil, a reusable alternative to plastic wraps.

Runners-up included Royella Foods, Voltshare Technology, Zarai Baramdaat, LibXR, EV Square, and EF-3F.

Waqar Siddiqui, Shell Pakistan’s CEO, commended the participants: “The talent and creativity of these entrepreneurs inspire us every year. Through Tameer, we aim to foster innovation, paving the way for a brighter future.”

The Tameer program has engaged over a million youth, awarded grants for international trade expansions, and secured global recognition for Pakistani entrepreneurs, strengthening the nation’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
