ISLAMABAD, JULY21: The Small Industries Development Board (SIDB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has formally started work on the massive Peshawar Industrial Park project.According to specifics, the officials have emphasized that the construction businesses involved have been directed to finish both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the project in a two-year period. The Industrial Park’s location beside the 48-kilometer, four-lane Peshawar–Torkham road would promote effective trade routes and regional economic integration.

The CEOs of two top construction companies received work orders from SIDB Managing Director Habibullah Arif on Thursday, signaling the acceleration of the PKR 3 billion mega program. Important individuals, such as Engineer Zulfikar Ali Sahibzada, Deputy Managing Director. The initiative has the potential to greatly increase economic activity in Peshawar, according to Joint Director Safdar Abbas Afridi and Deputy Managing Director (Planning & Development) Noman Fayaz.

About 25,000 jobs would be generated by the park for people living in the Sara Khawra neighborhood of the Zangali district along Kohat Road. Within the estate, 400 industrial units will be dispersed across plots that range in size from 11 marla to 4 kanals. The Industrial Park’s strategic location in close proximity to important transportation hubs, such as the Khyber Pass Economic Corridor and the Indus roads, will improve communication with Afghanistan and the seven Central Asian Republics, which together have a population of over 130 million.
