Islamabad, Oct 30: The Sindh government has prohibited private schools from charging more than the monthly tuition and enrollment cost.
Private schools are only allowed to collect admission and monthly tuition fees, according to a notification from the Directorate of Private Institutions.
Additionally, it says that parents can report any extra costs that Sindhi schools impose to the government, which will then take appropriate measures against the offenders.
For many parents, the exorbitant costs of private schools in Pakistan have become a major hardship.
Families find it difficult to handle the high costs of living and stagnating salaries, frequently putting their own needs on hold in order to pay for their children’s education.
