Islamabad, Sep 18: A new health insurance plan that covers officers and their families for medical expenses has been authorized by the government of Sindh. The Finance Department is anticipated to release cash for the initiative shortly after the Sindh Cabinet’s decision.

Inspector General (IG) Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon chaired a meeting at the Central Police Office where the plan was reviewed. DIG Finance told attendees at the briefing that the chosen insurance firm would provide health cards to all police officers.

In order to guarantee adequate coverage, NADRA support will also help validate police officers’ family information. Officers and their families will receive immediate training on how to use the health insurance benefits, with IG Sindh emphasizing the significance of ensuring they are fully informed of the scheme.

To make sure that police officers are aware of the health insurance policy and how to use its benefits, he sent orders to all district and unit officers to undertake awareness programs.
