Islamabad, Nov 2: Sindh Health Insurance for Police Officers Unveiled

Ghulam Nabi Memon, the head of Sindh police, declared that a health insurance program for police officers and staff would formally begin on November 1.

He thanked the Sindh government for its humanitarian effort during a meeting at the Central Police Office. Other IGs from Karachi, CTD, operations, welfare, and other DIGs joined the meeting.

Beginning on November 1, police officers and their families will have access to up to Rs1 million in medical care at 200 private hospitals across the country thanks to funding provided by the Sindh government.

The IGP emphasized that the health strategy is only in its first year and urged officials to make sure it is successfully implemented and effective in helping individuals who want medical attention.

He emphasized the importance of educating staff members about the policy and providing welfare officers with training. Additionally, using Nadra to gather and validate family data should be a priority.

In order to prevent delays in accessing medical facilities because of paperwork, he urged good collaboration between police welfare officers and district focal persons from the insurance firm.

Unit in-charges and district executives were instructed to host meetings to educate staff members about the advantages of the policy.

Additionally, the Central Welfare Branch’s helpline at the CPO is open around-the-clock to support staff, according to Sindh AIG welfare.
