Whoever applies first receives the next available number, sort of like a queue. Both government and private automobiles must abide with this regulation.Premium plates with distinctive numbers or letters are an exception, for which consumers may have to pay more. But you can’t just ask for a premium plate. The government will make public an application procedure that is distinct for these unique license plates.
