Islamabad, Jan 15: Sindh Minister for Energy, Syed Nasser Hussain Shah, commended the exceptional talent and determination displayed by special children during a recent Sports Gala. In his address, Minister Shah emphasized the children’s role as “guests of honor” and lauded the significant contributions of their educators, trainers, and staff.
He recognized their commitment to a noble cause, noting that these professionals could have pursued other career paths but chose to dedicate themselves to supporting special children.
In his speech, Minister Shah also praised the parents of special children, acknowledging their tireless efforts to provide their children with education and essential opportunities for growth.
The minister assured the public of the Sindh government’s ongoing efforts to improve services for special children and expressed his commitment to enhancing facilities and resources for their benefit.
He underscored that despite the challenges, the province was making substantial progress in providing for this underserved community.
Addressing the pressing issue of teacher and trainer shortages in special education institutions, Shah highlighted the necessity of recruiting passionate and capable individuals for these vital roles. He stressed that the government would focus on ensuring that only those genuinely motivated to serve the needs of special children would be selected for these positions.

Minister Shah announced a major initiative aimed at further supporting special children—an 80-acre autism complex in Karachi. This facility will meet international standards and provide state-of-the-art services for children with autism. He expressed gratitude to key figures such as President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for their support of this visionary project.
In addition to addressing matters related to special education, Shah spoke on other critical provincial issues. He stressed the importance of prioritizing Sindh’s rights in water distribution from canals, recognizing that such sensitive matters require unity to avoid causing unnecessary divisions among provinces and the public. Regarding ongoing concerns of load-shedding and overbilling, Shah reassured citizens that the Energy Department was actively working to resolve these issues, aiming to restore fairness and reduce the public’s burden.
