Specifically designed to enhance its short-form video platform, YouTube Shorts, YouTube revealed a slew of new features on Thursday in an attempt to outperform competitors like TikTok and Reels.
YouTube’s Chief Product Officer, Johanna Voolich, unveiled six new tools in a video message to creators that would help them in creating their Shorts videos. These features include tools for automatically cutting lengthier movies into shorter ones, as well as creative-sparking elements like a “Add Yours” sticker that invites viewers to add original content that is connected to a creator’s video. Two new features are being added to YouTube Shorts to improve the audio and visual experience.
