Islamabad, Sep 27: Sky Garden Housing Scheme Completion Set for 2026

Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, announced on Thursday that the Sky Garden Project, an extension of the Green Enclave Bharakau scheme, is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

Following a site visit to the project, the minister reported that infrastructure development in some blocks is set to finish by December this year, while the full project will conclude by late 2026.

The Sky Garden scheme, under the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), spans 11,000 kanals and is located near the Murree Expressway on the outskirts of Islamabad. Launched in 2019, the project has faced several delays.

Currently, infrastructure work, including road construction and the installation of water supply and sewerage systems, is ongoing in blocks H, J, and K, with an estimated cost of Rs. 7.944 billion.

During the media address, the housing minister emphasized the government’s commitment to providing quality residential facilities and promised to address delays in ongoing projects.

He praised the scenic beauty of the Sky Garden site and reaffirmed the aim of delivering high-standard urban housing amenities. The minister also inaugurated the Commoners Bridge and participated in a tree-planting event during his visit.
