Islamabad, Apr 18, 2025: In a welcome development for energy-conscious consumers, the prices of UPS batteries and Solar Panel equipment have dropped significantly across Pakistan in April 2025.
This price reduction is proving to be a major relief for households dealing with persistent electricity outages and looking for cost-effective alternative energy options.
According to the latest figures from local markets, both lithium-ion batteries and tubular battery units have witnessed noticeable reductions in their prices this month:

However, Experts expect these lower rates to boost the adoption of power backup systems, especially as the country approaches peak summer months when load-shedding typically intensifies.

Alongside battery costs, solar panel prices have also seen a significant decline. Currently, the per-watt rate of solar panels has come down to Rs. 28, making it one of the most affordable times to invest in solar energy solutions in Pakistan.
However, Experts believe that this trend is driven by increased imports, competitive market dynamics, and favorable energy policies introduced by the government.
Federal Minister for Energy, Awais Leghari, recently shared that Pakistan brought in 8,000 megawatts worth of solar panels in the last 12 months.
He further revealed that the government is actively working on setting up domestic manufacturing units for solar inverters and other essential solar components.
Although, this move is expected to reduce dependency on foreign imports and make renewable energy technology more accessible and affordable for local consumers.
However, with power demand surging and electricity prices remaining high, this downward shift in the cost of energy-saving solutions could not have come at a better time.
