Islamabad, Sep 18: George Steiner, the Swiss ambassador to Pakistan, emphasized on Thursday that his main goal was to improve bilateral trade and economic ties.

According to a news release, he remarked at the inauguration ceremony of Swiss homeopathic medications in Pakistan that efforts toward the impact will eventually benefit the people of both countries. Ambassador Steiner emphasized the numerous chances for cooperation in industries like travel, healthcare, and agriculture.

Praiseing the fruitful cooperation between Swiss and Pakistani businesses, he conveyed the expectation that more cooperation and investment from Swiss enterprises would follow, taking advantage of Pakistan’s 25 million people and wide range of industries.

According to him, Switzerland is Pakistan’s third-largest direct investor. The two countries have strong commercial relations, and he supports the continued growth of bilateral investment and trade.

President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ahsan Bakhtawari, praised Swiss investment and described Pakistan as a desirable location for foreign investors. In order to support local business and jobs, he pleaded with the Swiss corporations to investigate Pakistan’s potential and set up production facilities.
