Suzuki Motor Corporation is set to expand its operations in Pakistan by establishing a biogas plant in Karachi. This initiative was discussed by Kenichi Ayukawa, Global Vice President of Suzuki, and Rana Tanveer Hussain, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Industries and Production, in Islamabad. The minister highlighted the auto industry’s pivotal role in Pakistan’s economy, contributing significantly to employment, economic growth, and technological advancements. He also reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the automotive sector through tax breaks and incentives, particularly for new technologies such as Electric Vehicles (EVs) and hybrids. Suzuki’s long-standing presence in Pakistan and its recent export achievements underscore its integral role in the country’s automotive landscape.
