Islamabad, Dec 2: Dr. Ramez Alraee, the Syrian Arab Republic’s ambassador to Pakistan, stated on Monday that Syria and Pakistan share historical, religious, and cultural connections that will facilitate the expansion of their bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
According to the ambassador, Syria has always supported Pakistan during trying times and provided all kinds of assistance to Pakistan following the 2005 earthquake. Dr. Ramez Alraee, the ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Pakistan, told APP here that both Syria and Pakistan have a major role in the global economy and trade in addition to their geostrategic importance in the political sphere.
According to him, Pakistan’s recent complete cooperation with Syria and humanitarian assistance to the Syrian government will improve the two nations’ bilateral ties. Syria is very important in the Middle East, where Israel and Syria have been at odds for decades. Many countries in the region are also being attacked by Israel, according to Dr. Ramez Alraee.
According to the ambassador, Syria plays a vital role in maintaining international peace, and the Syrian government is giving peace, security, and economic growth top priority in its nation. He responded to a query by saying that Pakistan and Syria have had commercial and economic ties for decades and that they are growing every day.
According to the ambassador, there are a lot of prospects for religious tourism between Syria and Pakistan, and the Syrian government and people always welcome Pakistanis who travel to Syria for the Ziarah tour.
According to him, the Syrian government has prepared a number of facilities for visitors seeking easily accessible Ziarah tour permits, and more would be developed in the future. Aside from this, the ambassador stated that Syria is a stunning country because of its natural beauty, which offers many chances for conventional tourism.
According to him, the Syrian government is expanding its facilities to accommodate the plethora of chances for Pakistani tourists. According to Dr. Ramez Alraee, Syria is a significant nation in terms of history and culture, home to the legacies of several religions, including Islam, and the focus of international interest.
According to the ambassador, the first direct flight between Pakistan and Syria landed in Lahore on November 18th, and it will offer amenities to the business community and traders. Syrian Air Line had begun operating flights from Karachi in 2019, and this week was the airline’s maiden flight to Lahore. Both nations’ embassies and foreign affairs ministries worked hard to make this happen.
He claimed that the establishment of direct flights between the two nations will foster trade and economic ties as well as ties between the citizens of the two nations. According to the ambassador, the initiation of flight operations will facilitate the business communities of both nations, thereby boosting tourism and fostering bilateral economic and trade links. According to Dr. Ramez, in order for trade to grow and economic relationships to grow on both sides, the business communities of both nations must now fortify their bilateral links.
According to him, a lot of Pakistanis travel to Syria for the Ziarah trip, and they will also receive amenities following the flight, which will boost Islamic tourism. The current Syrian ambassador to Pakistan is a proactive diplomat in Islamabad who is well-liked in political, literary, and think tank circles. He actively participates in a number of conferences, seminars, and think tanks in Islamabad and leads the charge in promoting Syria everywhere he goes.
The Syrian Ambassador also maintains tight ties with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and business associations are actively involved in promoting trade and economic cooperation between Syria and Pakistan via trading with chambers and industrialists.
