The Thama movie is a sequel to the hit horror-comedy franchise of Bollywood that is produced in the same studio, Maddock Films. The teaser of the movie, Thama, is being highly anticipated by the fans, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. Marked as the inaugural episode in the universe of Maddock Horror-Comedy, the teaser was launched on both social media with a Diwali campaign announcement.
The Thama teaser has got the usual peice of ingredients found in the franchise template a folklore setting, a vampire touch to it, item number with Malaika Arora and a new on screen chemistry. Though the fans were excited so much in anticipating the glimpse, there were mixed reactions on the internet.
Some viewers expressed disappointment. There is a part of the viewers that was disappointed. One of them said, Downfall of Stree Universe, which is an indication that Rashmika was not as charming as Shraddha Kapoor was in her previous character. One of them added that the idea was at par with the expectations but there could have been more visuals.

Even comparisons were made to the Bhoot Bungla of Akshay Kumar where users felt that the quality of the poster was not different. Aditya Sarpotdar has directed the film and the screenplay of the film has been written by Niren Bhatt, Arun Fulara and Suresh Mathew. Paresh Rawal plays an important role in the film.
The movie has received mixed reviews but everyone is enthusiastic about its festive release. Combining the elements of the horror, comedy, and romance into one, Thama movie will challenge the expectations of the fans upon launching this Diwali.
