The sugar mills operated by Jahangir Khan Tareen have been granted the maximum export quota by the Punjab government. Tensofoil-owned JDW Sugar Mills-I and JDW Sugar Mills-II have been granted an export quota of 10,783 tons of the 96,000 tons of sugar that are permitted for export from Punjab.

According to a Cane Commissioner notification, the allocation was made based on the amount of sugar generated by each mill rather than sucrose recovery rates.
Given their reputation for efficiency, Tareen’s mills could have gotten an even higher quota if sucrose recovery had served as the foundation. 41 mills received export quotas totaling 96,000 tons of sugar from the Punjab government.

Al-Arabia Sugar Mills with 1,660 tons, Madina Sugar Mills with 3,790 tons, Ramadan Sugar Mills with 2,988 tons, and Hamza Sugar Mills with 6,535 tons were among the notable allocations.
