Islamabad, Apr 24, 2025: The Punjab government has taken a significant step towards modernising urban transport as part of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Vision T-30. This long-term initiative aims to enhance urban mobility throughout the province by 2030.
During the 25th cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, the Punjab Cabinet officially approved the launch of environmentally friendly electric bus services in various cities, with Rajanpur being one of the first to benefit.
The project is designed to offer the public affordable and sustainable transportation options. Additionally, the cabinet approved feasibility studies for mass transit systems in Faisalabad and Gujranwala, marking a crucial milestone in improving the region’s transport infrastructure.
Vision T-30, or Transport Vision 2030, is centred on making public transportation more accessible, safer, and eco-friendly.

The initiative aims to cater to over a million passengers daily, cut traffic-related accidents by 50%, and replace a substantial portion of the fleet with electric vehicles.
The plan also promises enhanced travel experiences, especially for women, while focusing on modernising facilities, improving digital governance, and strengthening enforcement.
