Islamabad, Oct 14: Total Number of Return Filers Crosses 4 Million Mark for Tax Year 2024
Up until October 13, 2024, more than 4 million income tax returns were filed for the tax year 2024.
With 1.636 million nil-filers throughout this time, the FBR has received 4.436 million income tax returns for the tax year 2024 thus far.
For the tax year 2023, there were 6.44 million return filers overall last year. 3.49 million filers who submitted zero returns are included in the 6.44 million total.
Taxes for the tax year 2024 of Rs. 114,338 million were received by FBR in addition to the returns. There were 1,035,922 people enrolled as of July 1, 2023, 622,102 of them were non-filers.
On the other hand, out of the 450,405, registered individuals as of July 2024, 307,482 are nil-filers.
