The Elementary and Secondary Education Department (E&SED) and USAID’s Improving Girls Education Activity (IGEA) collaborated to jointly host a three-day training workshop on “Project Lifecycle Management for Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in Education” from May 31 to June 2.

Participating in the session were senior officials from E&SED, the Finance Department, the Planning and Development Department, the Directorate of E&SED, ESEF, and MAEF.The project lifecycle, planning and development, project selection criteria, project execution and monitoring, project closure, and post-implementation were among the key elements of PPPs in education that were covered at the workshop. Case studies and interactive group activities were added as well to improve participants’ comprehension of the project lifecycle for PPPs in education.

For three days, participants received extensive instruction from national PPP experts. IGEA provided an atmosphere that encouraged candid comments from participants regarding the possible difficulties of impending PPP projects in E&SED.The role that development partners have played in promoting PPPs in the education sector, which is a new avenue for educational growth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was praised by the delegates.

Education experts believe that Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) will produce important and far-reaching results in the field of education. These results will include addressing the challenge of improving access for children who are not in school, increasing enrollment rates, improving learning outcomes, and ensuring the quality of education delivery through efficient school management.
