Islamabad, Jan 29: Pak-Turk MAARIF International Schools and Colleges, in collaboration with the Turkish Maarif Foundation (TMF) and the Turkish Embassy in Pakistan, hosted the Turkish University Fair 2025 in Islamabad on Wednesday. The event, which ran from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, provided Pakistani students with the opportunity to explore higher education options in Turkey.

This third edition of the fair aimed to strengthen educational ties between Pakistan and Turkey, offering students access to academic programs, scholarships, and career pathways at top Turkish universities. A total of ten universities, including Bilkent University, Bogaziçi University, and METU Northern Cyprus Campus, were present to showcase their programs and provide guidance on academic choices, research opportunities, and exchange programs.

The fair attracted around 5,000 students from various schools and universities, creating a platform for future academic collaboration. Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Irfan Neziroglu, highlighted the significance of educational initiatives like the fair in promoting bilateral ties between the two countries. He also suggested organizing a similar fair in Turkey to include Pakistani universities, further enhancing the two-way academic exchange.

Turkey, home to over 340,000 international students from 198 countries, is increasingly becoming a popular destination for higher education, with over 5,000 Pakistani students currently studying in the country. The Turkish Maarif Foundation continues to support Pakistani students by providing opportunities in various fields, including engineering, medicine, business, and the arts.

Through initiatives like the Turkish University Fair, Pak-Turk Maarif International, which runs schools and colleges across Pakistan, aims to promote educational collaboration and the shared vision of academic growth between Pakistan and Turkey under the motto, “Two Nations – One Future.”
