Islamabad, Aug 21: In order to access the global market by adhering to international standards, investors from the UAE have expressed a strong interest in establishing joint ventures with the Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC). A communication from the UAE was received here on Wednesday, stating that a delegation headed by PFC Mian Kashif Ashfaq, the CEO, was visiting the Gulf states and meeting with their counterparts.
According to him, the partnership between the PFC and the UAE investors was viewed as a calculated step to take advantage of the expanding demand for premium furniture globally, especially in export markets. Pakistan’s furniture sector, which is renowned for its artistry and conventional designs, has a great deal of room to grow if it is in line with contemporary manufacturing methods and worldwide quality standards.
According to him, the planned joint ventures will improve design creativity, boost production efficiency, and integrate cutting edge technologies to strengthen Pakistan’s furniture manufacturing skills. The investors from the UAE provided notable benefits in terms of finance, marketing know-how, and market reach due to their vast networks and access to global markets. He continued, “By these collaborations, the Pakistan Furniture Council aimed to modernize its manufacturing plants and enhance its merchandise to satisfy the demands of international customers.”
Mian Kashif felt it would present a chance for both nations to boost economic growth and trade relations. He said that by cooperating, the PFC and the UAE investors may expand exports, create new opportunities in global furniture markets, and support the general economic growth of Pakistan’s manufacturing industry.
