ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 15: Senior officials have issued a warning to Pakistani nationals traveling to the UAE, advising them to follow local laws and visa requirements. He said that if you don’t cooperate, you could not be allowed to leave the country.

Pakistan’s consul general in Dubai, Hussain Muhammad, announced that travelers will be inspected at Pakistani airports. They could not be allowed to leave if they don’t have the necessary documents, such as plane tickets, hotel bookings, and enough money.

Travel industry experts state that visitors entering the UAE with a visit visa need to have a return ticket, hotel accommodations or evidence of living with a family member, and a minimum of Dh3,000.

They risk having their entrance barred and being sent to their country of origin if they don’t fulfill these standards. Hussain Muhammad gave advice to the 1.7 million Pakistani expats living in the United Arab Emirates on how to contribute positively to society and respect local laws and traditions. He went on to say that rules in the UAE are rigorously followed and that breaking them might result in penalties or even jail time.
Muhammad made clear in an interview with Khaleej Times that the FIA and Pakistani airport officials are handling the visa problem, and that anybody who do not fulfill the standards would be turned away at the airport.

The ambassador of Pakistan to the United Arab Emirates, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, also cautioned Pakistani tourists visiting the country on a tourist visa to follow the regulations, which include possessing a return ticket, Dh3,000 in cash, and lodging. According to Tirmizi, visitors should concentrate on seeing the sights rather than looking for work while using their tourist visa.
