Islamabad, Aug 29: The UAE Embassy in Islamabad has made the decision to support local government efforts to improve and renovate one of the city’s parks.

The UAE embassy, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has indicated interest in aiding the city government by adding new facilities to a park in the capital, according to a representative from the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) environment wing.

The UAE embassy is interested in working with the Islamabad administration to update and restore one of the current parks, which may be in sectors F-6, F-7, F-8, or another region of Islamabad, according to a letter from the ministry that the CDA received a few days ago.

Additionally, the letter asked the CDA to locate a park that would be ideal for facility improvements and renovations, and to notify the ministry as soon as feasible. It is noteworthy to add that the Japanese government made contributions to the establishment of the Japanese Park at the foothills of the Margalla Hills, while the Argentine government helped the CDA establish Argentina Park in sector G-6.

Furthermore, Azerbaijan is actively supporting the CDA with Baku-inspired landscaping projects throughout Islamabad. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif requested that a team of professionals be deployed from Azerbaijan, and they are now working on landscaping in the city.
