Islamabad, Nov 23: Urdu University Students Innovate Affordable, Eco-Friendly Shoe Polish. Using cow and poultry fat, students at Karachi’s Federal Urdu University have created an inexpensive, environmentally friendly shoe polish.

Express News reports that students from the university’s Gulshan campus shocked everyone by using natural substances to create this inventive shoe polish. They used a specific recipe to handle beef and chicken fat, which is frequently thrown away as trash.

In addition to being reasonably priced, our shoe polish is eco-friendly and designed to be available to everybody. Before successfully developing and testing the product, the Federal Urdu University chemistry department students carried out a great deal of study. They said they were happy with the outcome.

Group members Yusuf Ali and Sehar Gul told Express-News that they extracted tallow fat by melting beef and chicken fat while being watched over by Ms. Maryam Nasir and Dr. Abdul Mujeeb. To make the shoe polish, they mixed it with beeswax, olive oil, castor oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil, and other natural components.

The students clarified that wearing polished shoes to a social event or job interview frequently makes a good impression. Their product is an affordable option because it just costs PKR 150 for a 50-gram pack. Additionally, they emphasized that because of its long-lasting benefits, this shoe polish not only adds shine but also shields shoes from harm for an extended amount of time.

Commercial shoe polishes, according to the students, are frequently created with dangerous chemicals that can ruin shoes and provide health dangers. They underlined that they could develop and improve their work even more if they were permitted to offer their product on an industrial scale.
