Islamabad, Apr 9, 2025:  Pakistan Super League (PSL) X is set to begin its celebrations with a grand opening ceremony in Rawalpindi on Friday, April 11.

This marks the first time the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host the prestigious opening ceremony of the franchise cricket.

The ceremony will start at 7:00 PM, followed by the opening match at 8:30 PM, where defending champions Islamabad United will face the two-time winners, Lahore Qalandars.

The tournament will feature six teams competing across four venues including National Bank Stadium, Gaddafi Stadium, Multan Cricket Stadium, and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The high-octane final showdown is scheduled for May 18 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The opening ceremony promises to be a highlight of the evening, showcasing performances by some of the top Pakistani artists.

Renowned Sufi singer Abida Parveen, pop icon Ali Zafar, and the hip-hop duo Young Stunners will entertain fans with their electrifying performances.

In addition, the star-studded lineup of artists behind the PSL X anthem, including Abrar ul Haq, Ali Zafar, Natasha Baig, and Talha Anjum, will also take the stage.

To top it off, the event will feature a dazzling firework display, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The PSL X will span over 34 matches from April 11 to May 18. Gaddafi Stadium will host 13 of these matches, including two Eliminators and the grand final.

Rawalpindi Stadium will be home to 11 matches, including the first Qualifier on May 13. Karachi and Multan will each stage five matches.

Fans can also look forward to three exciting double-header days, with two of them scheduled for Saturdays and another on Labour Day, May 1.

The tournament promises to bring thrilling cricket action, star performances, and memorable moments to the fans across the country.
