Islamabad, Dec 12: Vivo seems to be preparing the launch of a new sub-brand named Jovi. Chinese smartphone makers frequently develop sub-brands to target particular market niches. This action is in line with the company’s past with its iQOO sub-brand and is reminiscent of rival Xiaomi’s Redmi and Poco strategies.
Because Vivo has already associated the term Jovi with its AI assistant and system applications, users may be familiar with it. Recent events, however, suggest that Vivo might be transforming Jovi into a unique smartphone brand. Three forthcoming smartphones with the Jovi moniker are revealed by records from the GSMA database: the Jovi V50 (model number V2427),
Model numbers V2440 and V2444 are the Jovi V50 Lite 5G and Jovi Y39 5G, respectively. Interestingly, these model numbers correspond to Vivo’s current lineup of handsets, including the Vivo V50 and V50 Lite 5G. This implies that for their initial launches, Jovi might rebrand existing Vivo models.
These rebranded gadgets can be aimed at particular markets where Vivo wants to improve its standing. The business might be experimenting with the Jovi brand without creating completely new products by rebranding well-known hardware.
Although the GSMA database is generally trustworthy, it should be noted that Jovi has not yet made an official announcement about its introduction. Plans may potentially alter before any products are released.
