Islamabad, Oct 17: Vivo quickly released the Y300 Plus, their newest model, as a follow-up to last month’s Y300 Pro launch. The phone will initially launch in India, but it should eventually be available in other countries.

Design and Display

The Y300 Plus has a 6.78-inch 1080p curved AMOLED display, capable of a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The screen’s peak brightness reaches 1,300 nits and includes wet touch functionality, enhancing usability during rain or other wet conditions.

Internals and Software

This new model boasts budget hardware, including the Snapdragon 695 SoC, 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. For users requiring additional space, the device supports expandable storage of up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The phone brings Android 14 out of the box with Funtouch OS 14 on top.

Cameras

There are only two cameras in the back and the secondary unit is mostly there for show. The primary unit is a 50MP shooter while the second camera is a 2MP depth sensor. Video recording only goes up to 1080p 30 FPS.

Centered within the display is a punch-hole housing a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery and Pricing

Battery capacity is rated at 5,000 mAh and it has support for 44W wired charging, though there is no mention of whether a supported charger is included in the box.

The starting price of Vivo Y300 Plus is $285 in India and it is available in Silk Black and Silk Green color options.
