Team Pakistan crushing loss to India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has sparked sharp criticism, including from legend Wasim Akram.
The former cricketer not only criticized the batting, bowling, and fielding but also took issue with the body language of the Men in Green during the match.
Akram was particularly displeased with an incident early in the game when, during a drinks break, a plate full of bananas was brought out for the players.
The former left-arm pacer remarked that even monkeys do not eat so many bananas, indirectly mocking the approach of the Green Shirts.
“Aaj match ke daoraan bowlers ke liye banana’s ki 2 trays aayi. Mein kaha ennay kele te baandar nahi khaande,” Wasim Akram said.
Recalling his time under Imran Khan, he said such behavior would not have been tolerated, and the captain would have strongly reprimanded players.
