Islamabad, Aug 8: The Walled City of Lahore Authority’s Social Mobilization wing has teamed up with “Save the World With Green Pakistan” to launch a creative and engaging plant-based activity designed to foster environmental awareness among children.According to a press release issued here on Thursday, the objective of this initiative, titled “Let’s Plant for Life and Make a Difference,” is to encourage a greener future.
The activity features a unique blend of education and enjoyment. Children first indulge in a cake that is cleverly designed to look like a real plant pot. Once the delicious treat is enjoyed, the pot is re-purposed as a planting vessel, where each child planted a flower seed. This innovative approach not only makes learning about environmental responsibility fun but also hands-on, providing a memorable experience that reinforces the importance of sustainability.
“The aim of this activity is to instill a sense of environmental stewardship in our younger generation through a playful and engaging method,” Madam Nosheen zaidi, Deputy Director social Mobilization WCLA said “By combining a sweet treat with the joy of planting, we hope to inspire children to take an active role in making our world greener.”
