TRENDING Umrah and Ziyarah forum kicks off in Madinah today.

WhatsApp debuted the Events feature for its brand-new Communities feature in May.Additionally, the business pledged to introduce Events to regular groups “in the coming months.”According to a report from WABetaInfo, certain Android users in the WhatsApp beta program (version 2.24.14.9) can already create Events in their chats, even though there isn’t an official launch date yet. A snapshot of the Events function, which is available in ordinary, non-Community groups, was provided in the report.

In group chats, WhatsApp has introduced a new “Event” button beneath the paperclip button for attachments. This allows users to make invitations for events such as reading clubs or movie evenings. Everyone in the chat room has access to the invitation and can decide whether or not to accept it. The event creator is the only one who can alter the specifics.

For an additional degree of privacy, these events are safeguarded using the same end-to-end encryption as your standard WhatsApp communications. By signing up for the WhatsApp beta program, Android users can test this functionality before it launches. Group chat events have also surfaced on the iOS WhatsApp beta (version 24.13.72), and they function in the same manner as their Android equivalent.

A stable release is not yet official, but given that the feature is already there in the beta, it shouldn’t take long.WhatsApp is also working on new stickers with better animations and more vivid colors, a new shortcut to quickly reply to video messages, a redesigned preview page for status updates, the option to select multiple Llama models for Meta AI, and more.
