Islamabad, Oct 3: WhatsApp introduces new filters, backgrounds for video calls
WhatsApp has introduced an exciting new feature that allows users to change backgrounds and add filters during video calls, making conversations more personal and expressive. In a recent blog post, the messaging app highlighted how this feature is designed to create a fun and engaging atmosphere, offering 10 filters and 10 backgrounds to choose from.
Users can apply filters like Warm, Cool, Black & White, Light leak, Dreamy, and more to give their video calls an artistic or playful touch.
Additionally, backgrounds such as Blur, living room, Office, Beach, and Cafe help users keep their surroundings private while appearing in a more polished, virtual environment.
WhatsApp also added “Touch up” and “Low Light” options to improve users’ appearances and enhance video call brightness, creating a vibrant experience.
The feature will roll out in the coming weeks, and users can access it by selecting the effects icons during 1:1 or group video calls to choose the desired filters and backgrounds.
